Ekudeni is ideally situated on the "wedding mile" in Muldersdrift, only 30 minutes from either Pretoria or Johannesburg, not only is this an excellent venue for weddings, it also serves as a purpose built conference and team building venue.
The rolling lawns and tranquil water features make an ideal backdrop for any special day.
Ekudeni offers many different areas within the property for team building event held.
Quad biking, raft building and a variety of exercises can be accommodated on the rolling lawns in front of the main building.
If you would like your team building more strenuous, there are a number of areas adjacent to the property that can accommodate your adventure requirements.
We do not charge for the hiring of our wedding venue!
Our venue is well suited for weddings of all types. We at Ekudeni understand the current economic constraints and in order to help prospective couples attain their dream function we do not charge venue hire fees.

Our comprehensive quote can include beverages, flowers, linen, decoration, draping and entertainment if required. (We have a database of all the necessary services to make your planning that much easier).
We will gladly work with your wedding planner in order to make your wedding day stress free and enjoyable. Overtime cost for the staff can also be calculated so there are no surprises at the end of your special day!
As another value-added service, Ekudeni offers FREE B&B for the special bridal couple.
Our range of accommodation varies according to the size and style of room as well as rates offered. All twenty eight rooms are equipped with electric blankets and heaters for chilly winter nights and fans for sweltering hot summer days. Provided in every room are tea / coffee facilities as well as a television.
In today's modern climate of corporate belt tightening, it is refreshing to know that there is a conference venue close to both Johannesburg and Pretoria which offers conference facilities at pre-recession prices.
Although situated on the Muldersdrift "wedding mile" (30mins from either Johannesburg or Pretoria) Ekudeni is purpose built as a conference venue and team building facility.
Ekudeni boasts six conference venues that offer seating for between 6- 700 delegates.
The seating plan for each venue can be altered to accommodate the client's needs; however the number of delegates dictates the final seating arrangements.
Each of the conference venues are equipped with modern AV equipment which is available for hire on request.
The Ekudeni management team will make certain that your conference is remembered for all the right reasons.

Zonki "Shebeen": This quirky venue is great for opening or closing a conference. It can also be used as a base during team building exercises. It has its own bar and serves a traditional menu, together with the new under cover Zonki annex, it can accommodate 250 (inside & outside).
Team Building :
Ekudeni has a purpose built teambuilding area on the 32 ha property.
All teambuilding companies are welcome to make use of Ekudeni’s quad track, dams and open areas at a cost effective rate.
Ekudeni’s management team will also assist in arranging the teambuilding event, we listen to your needs, strategise effective solutions and implement each element with meticulous attention to detail.
No group is too big or small, Ekudeni will endeavour to add a 5 star plus dimension to your teambuilding event.
Corporate Functions :
Ekudeni offers a variety of versatile venue options, catering for small intimate groups, as well as medium and large groups. Our peaceful and relaxing environment makes a unique and ideal setting for those wanting an “out of town” venue, close to town but away from the stresses of city life.
For each function the menu is an integral part of the event, that is why we have an extensive range of menus to suit everyone’s taste and preference.
Our kitchen is legendary for its mouth watering dishes.
Ever wondered what happens to old shoes, bicycles and even a forgotten moose head? The answer is simple…they end up at the Zonki “Shebeen” at Ekudeni.
This quirky venue is a great icebreaker when it comes to entertaining special guests or hosting intimate parties and year-end functions.
Constructed out of reclaimed building material this venue has its own bar along with a very special menu… and of course the house speciaity is served in Quart bottles!
Who needs TV or live entertainment when the décor will keep guests entertained for hours?
Zonki “Shebeen”
This new addition to Ekudeni offers guests a new entertainment experience; dine on traditional indigenous food served in unique style. Never tried a Bunnychow before? Now is your opportunity! Named recipe of the month in The Weekender magazine, this is a truly South African dish.
Great ambience and interesting objects will keep you and your guests entertained as you sip traditional drinks served in enamel mugs.
Budget :
These log cabins are beautifully finished, tiled and cosy on the inside. Each room has two three quarter beds and en suite bathroom consisting of a shower.
Standard :
In this category all rooms have two three quarter beds; these are the only rooms which have a bath – shower combination.
Standard plus rooms :
These are spacious rooms with en suite shower. The rooms have ample space with TV and garden furniture with small stoep.
Bridal Suites :
We have two bridal suites on offer, much too every bridal couples delight: Garden of Eden and Pool Honeymoon. The Garden of Eden has an en suite bath, sink and toilet in addition to an outside shower for romantic moonlit evenings or fresh spring mornings. Pool Honeymoon is our only suite with upstairs -downstairs combination: the bridal bedroom being upstairs; bathroom, mini TV lounge and basic kitchenette area downstairs. Both the suites are privately intimate and lead onto the swimming pool area.
We pride ourselves in Ekudeni’s serene tranquil estate which borders a neighbouring safari lodge. The rooms are surrounded by well maintained lawns and ever green trees. Don’t be surprised when you spot a few wild buck and zebra’s along our fences, they add to our peaceful relaxed surroundings!
